Your New Role

With the upcoming retirement of the current SVP, an opportunity is now available to join the vibrant and passionate leadership team. The role involves driving the Group’s medium and long-term asset and income growth strategies, with a focus on quality AUM. Reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director you will help lead the organization. The scope of the VP role is broad and dynamic and will include the following responsibilities:

AcquisitionsDevelop a strong pipeline of quality investment opportunities by anticipating market trends, develop and engender resilient relationships with key brokers and other stakeholders in various markets. Collaborating with the Finance Team, perform in-depth feasibility and underwriting analysis, and create overall investment rationale for internal and external investment validation. Coordinate the Due Diligence process for all potential acquisitions and divestments and manage the closing process. Prepare and negotiate all relevant contracts and agreements, including Letters of Intent, Agreements of Purchase and Sale, and Covenant documentation.

Development - Oversee and coordinate all design and planning consultants/engineers. Lead the negotiation and preparation of all project contracts and agreements, including general contractor, consultants, architect, leases, purchase and sale agreements, property management agreements, and other contracts specific to the project. Negotiate with City departments, Regional and other governmental authorities relevant to commercial real estate development.

Finance - Develop relationships with capital partners and strategic investors (JV partnerships, syndication or other) to support management agreements and equity positions for new and existing properties. Negotiate, structure and execute equity transactions, financing and technical services agreements where applicable, including US/cross-border. Utilize refinancing experience to evaluate financing proposals, negotiate with lenders and execute all legal documentation. Produce and analyze Feasibility Reports and provide recommendations to Managing Director as needed. Oversee Business Unit performance including budgeting and take action to address variances.

Business Development and Corporate Leadership – As an active member of the leadership team, the VP will be accountable for brand advancement of RCG, the delegation and supervision of contract staff or staff personnel and will provide support to other leadership team members.

What Sets You Apart

The ideal candidate is an experienced real estate professional with an established record of accomplishment in land and investment acquisitions, entitlement and all facets of real estate development in multiple real estate classes and markets. You have proven experience directing a development team including design professionals, consultants and contractors. You possess strong analytical, communication, negotiation and project-management skills with a natural affinity for attention-to-detail, multi-tasking and multiple-channel goals pursuits. Proven management abilities in developing and leading a team utilizing effective communication, mentoring and coaching techniques aligned with RCG values are required. You will have a high level of integrity, ethics and initiative in all business transactions and dealings, with a good knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and relevant laws. The ability to thrive in a changing, growing environment is essential.

In addition to a competitive base salary, a performance bonus will be offered based on set criteria.
