A long-standing, private real estate company with a solid portfolio of commercial property is looking for an experienced Property/Asset Manager to oversee operational and strategic management of the portfolio.

This family owned and operated real estate company has an impressive portfolio of commercial property located throughout the Lower Mainland. Your new office is located just steps away from Stanley Park in Vancouver’s West End where you will be joined by a tight knit and friendly team.
Your New Role
Working closely with the company owner, you will be responsible for overseeing Property, and Asset Management across the entire portfolio (mostly retail and industrial and more details on specific assets will be provided). Handling day to day property management will be the main focus but based on your experience and interest, you could get involved in lease renewals and new lease negotiations, re-financing and capital planning as well as assist in the due diligence for new acquisitions.
There are plans to grow the portfolio and this role offers excellent long-term stability for someone looking to work in a family office environment.
What Sets You Apart
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of commercial property/asset management experience. Attention to detail is key in this role as is your ability to problem solve and juggle multiple priorities. No two weeks are the same and you should be as comfortable dealing with roofing contractors as you are in negotiating lease agreements. You will be a responsible, trustworthy and committed professional who is comfortable taking the lead but also seeking advice when needed. A property management license is not required for the role. You will ideally have a relevant post-secondary qualification and a valid driver’s license is required.
