We are excited to partner with Milldon Living – a successful, stable, and long-term owner-operator of multi-residential apartments who are currently seeking a talented and forward-thinking VP Property Operations to join their team.
Your New Employer
Founded over 60 years ago, our client has experienced substantial growth and transformation throughout its history. Today, it operates as a specialized multi-residential property management entity, with a residential portfolio across Southern Ontario. The company is committed to setting new standards of excellence in property management while prioritizing the well-being and satisfaction of its residents. With an established and well-maintained group of assets, they are in good financial health for future growth and development and you can be part of this vision!
Your New Role
The Vice President of Property Operations will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial management to ensure the successful performance and profitability of the company's residential real estate portfolio. The VP will lead and develop regional and property-level teams, drive operational efficiencies, and ensure that properties meet and exceed industry standards in terms of building performance and resident experience. A key role will be to develop, lead and implement processes, policies and best practices, which will help solidify the foundation and ensure Milldon meet their short, mid and long-term growth strategies.
What Sets You Apart
You are an experienced leader with a collaborative style and strong interpersonal and communication skills. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but extensive experience in multi-residential property management may substitute. You bring over 10 years in property management and real estate operations, including 5 years in senior leadership roles. You have a proven track record in policy creation, process improvement, and best practices implementation. You are proficient in property management software and real estate technology platforms, and have a solid understanding of Ontario’s Residential Tenancy Act (RTA).
But what really sets you apart is your leadership style and personality. You are genuine, authentic, consistent and empathetic. You remain compassionate and respectful when dealing with tenants and employees and are certainly a people-centric individual. You are skilled in team management and engagement and foster a high performing and positive culture which has previously led to great employee retention and loyalty.
What You Can Expect
This role offers a unique opportunity to drive transformation, establish operational standards, mentor potential leaders within the organization and foster a culture of growth. The portfolio is set for considerable growth, and you and your team will have opportunities for professional development—a truly exciting path forward. It requires someone ready to roll up their sleeves and be willing to ‘do the work’ to actively contribute to achieving short-, mid-, and long-term goals. You’ll collaborate with equally passionate professionals in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. You must have your own vehicle and a valid driving license.
