Your new employer owns and manages a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, and retail properties in North America.?? They are now looking to add an experienced Senior Manager - Specialty Leasing to their team based in Brampton.

Your New Role

As the Senior Manager of Specialty Leasing, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Specialty Leasing and play a pivotal role in enhancing and diversifying the property’s revenue streams. You will achieve this by strategically managing the temporary leasing of various spaces within a portfolio that includes a super-regional shopping center and one of our client's most prestigious properties located in a highly sought-after neighbourhood. This role demands innovative leasing strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining the high standards and reputation of these premier retail properties.

Additionally, you will leverage sponsorship opportunities, mall media, pop-up retail, and storage space to generate income. While engaging in these revenue-enhancing activities, you will ensure that the properties maintain their reputation as high-quality retail destinations. This role demands a balance of innovative leasing strategies and a commitment to upholding the overall image and appeal of the portfolio.

What sets you apart as an exceptional candidate for the Senior Manager of Specialty Leasing position is your ability to develop and implement a Specialty Leasing Business Plan and Temporary Leasing Program to increase and diversify the property's revenue streams.

Collaborating with the Leasing team, you will create a Merchandising Plan and Leasing Strategy to optimize tenant mix and leverage market strengths. You will actively prospect for temporary leasing opportunities through cold calling, online research, and local travel, managing all aspects of leasing arrangements, from execution of agreements to tenant operations monitoring.

By maintaining a robust database of contacts, you will foster business relationships. You will also prepare, negotiate, and coordinate various leasing deals, ensuring vacant spaces are leased while minimizing risks and enhancing property value. Continuously seeking new revenue streams, you will stay updated on industry best practices and ensure
compliance with all company standards and policies for the Specialty Leasing program.

You will actively network within the real estate industry to stay abreast of market trends, best practices, and new opportunities, while monitoring competitor activity and commercial developments. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with local entrepreneurs, potential retailers, and industry stakeholders.

Representing the shopping center in the communities you serve; you will build collaborative relationships with local business centers and strategic business networks to enhance the property's market position and community integration.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with previous experience in deal-making or Specialty Leasing at a retail center. A Provincial Real Estate License is a requirement or the commitment to obtain one upon being selected.

Additionally, proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office applications and social media platforms, along with basic record-keeping abilities, is necessary. As this position involves travel, a valid driver's license is essential. A car allowance will be offered as part of a generous compensation and benefit package.
