Their portfolio spans approximately 2M sq ft (and growing!!) and consists of properties primarily focused on grocery-anchored shopping centres and entertainment-oriented centres. Join them as Lease Coordinator.

Your New Employer

Your prospective employer is highly collaborative, and forward-thinking and supports a team-oriented culture with a long-standing reputation for excellence. The company continues to diversify, develop, and acquire new assets and clients. It’s an exciting time to be getting on board!

Employees are appreciated and respected for the value, expertise, and knowledge they bring. It’s a respectful and entrepreneurial environment and a team effort.

Your New Role

As Lease Coordinator, you will report to the Director of Leasing and play a critical role in supporting the leasing department’s operations. You will draft commissions and process brokerage fees, and leasing department fees for payment while tracking all progressive payments. Additionally, you will assist in completing Lease Control Sheets and conducting credit checks for potential tenants. As the primary point of contact, you will gather necessary documentation, manage credit reports, and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.

Your responsibilities also include preparing, negotiating, and finalizing lease proposals, monitoring lease expirations, and handling lease extensions in collaboration with the Director of Leasing. You’ll coordinate closely with the construction department to ensure all lease work is completed, and with property management to arrange visits for prospective tenants.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a commercial real estate environment, with post-secondary education in real estate, business, or finance being preferred.

Proficiency in lease documentation, including drafting and reviewing leases, is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with excellent organizational abilities, will allow the candidate to manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently.

Additionally, the role requires strong interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is also required.
