Our client, who owns, manages, and develops grocery-anchored open-air centres in neighbourhoods with the strongest demographics in Canada, is seeking a Mobile Building Operator for commercial and retail properties in the GTA East.

Your New Role

As Building Operator, your role entails supervising building operations and maintenance programs for a designated portfolio comprised of retail and office properties. Your responsibility will be to maintain these properties at peak operational efficiency, uphold top-tier operational standards, and foster strong tenant relationships.

Regular travel to your designated properties will be a requirement, necessitating a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Additionally, it will be essential for you to provide and upkeep a dependable service vehicle for transportation.

What Sets You Apart

Candidates should possess a minimum of two (2) years of relevant property maintenance experience, ideally within dynamic retail and mixed-use environments. A crucial aspect of this role involves coordinating schedules with contractors for onsite repairs, overseeing workmanship, generating work orders, and ensuring follow-up on tasks.

Proficiency in building operations systems is necessary, covering areas such as building automation, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC, Fire Alarm, Life Safety protocols and Health, and Safety regulations.

Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential, along with adeptness in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and iPhone usage.
