Our client, an established and reputable company within the real estate development and property management industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist

Your New Role 

This is a full-time, in-office role that involves maintaining a consistent focus on accounts payable. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, your key responsibilities will include processing a high volume of AP invoices each day, reconciling credit card and pre-authorized payments, verifying and coding invoices, coordinating the invoice approval process, and resolving AP issues with vendors. Additional duties involve preparing check requests, transfers, ACH transactions, reconciling various accounts monthly, and supporting the accounting department as needed.

What Sets You Apart 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance, with a minimum of four years’ experience in an accounts payable role in a high volume environment. Experience in the construction industry is a plus. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint is essential, Yardi Voyager is ideal but not mandatory, along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, are required. You possess an owner’s mindset and are comfortable closely collaborating with owners, maintaining accountability and transparency in your communications. You demonstrate openness to change, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines. Strong systems knowledge and experience leading software implementation is an asset.
