Focused on providing quality, affordable rental housing and fostering strong community connections, this organization places high value on integrity and respect.

Your New Employer

Your prospective employer specializes in the development and management of retail properties offering exceptional locations and a carefully curated blend of tenants that cater to the essential needs of daily life. Beyond being a mere assortment of addresses, our client is deeply committed to the communities it serves.

Notably, they take pride in their recognition as one of Canada's Top Small and Medium Employers for the third consecutive year, underscoring their ongoing dedication to excellence.

Your New Role

As the Development Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in expanding our client’s multi-residential portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Development, you will oversee the planning, design, and approval processes for high-rise, purpose-built rental projects.

This role involves working within complex regulatory frameworks, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring all projects are completed on schedule and to high standards.

You will manage everything from municipal approvals and financial modeling to collaborating with marketing and construction teams to assess project feasibility.

What Sets You Apart

You bring a minimum of 7 years’ experience in high-rise residential development and a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field (a Master’s degree is an asset). You’re highly skilled in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Your in-depth understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and financial modeling, combined with your strong leadership skills, make you an ideal fit.

What You Can Expect

Our client offers a supportive and rewarding environment, focusing on continuous learning, competitive compensation, and health and wellness initiatives. As an equal-opportunity employer, they celebrate diversity and provide an inclusive workplace.

Additionally, our client offers extra paid time off during the summer and group benefits fully funded by the employer.
