Sr. Software Engineer - Ecommerce

Our client, a multi-national apparel distribution company, is currently hiring a full-time Ecommerce Sr. Software Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of high-quality, accessible, responsive code for digital marketing initiatives . You will build and design highly scalable and available web applications and eCommerce sites using the latest in front end technologies. The ideal candidate is an experienced developer capable of delivering business value to internal and external stakeholders.

This position will collaborate closely with Marketing to understand the user journey and finalize functional requirements for new website features and integrations. In this role you will mentor and support junior developers and have the potential to move into a management role in the future.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions that follow architectural patterns and branding guidelines to support digital marketing initiatives at S&S.
  • Prioritize projects and change requests into logic groupings, set timelines and keep Product Owner informed of progress.
  • Work with UI/UX designers to create mockups and prototypes.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, including story assignments and code reviews.
  • Advance test automation framework and adoption.

 Requirements

  • High proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS (5+ years)
  • Experience in AJAX and Json (5+ years)
  • Experience using responsive design patterns across multiple devices (3+ years)
  • Experience with .NET and Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL (2+ years)
  • Automated Integration Testing using Selenium (1+ years)
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
  • Self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Pervious eCommerce development experience including Google Analytics, Dynamic Yield, Listrack and SEO

Working Environment

This job operates in an office environment with routine use of standard equipment (computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc.). Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer utilizing full dexterity of all fingers. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
