Job Title: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant – Permanent – 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM -

Job Duties Include:
Provide patient and parent homecare instructions.
Follow all guidelines, protocols, and policies with documentation for patient’s records (i.e. placing notes, charting, alerts)
Restock instruments and supplies throughout the office as necessary to maintain efficient work environment
Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying when there is a need for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment area; position instruments for dentist's access; suction; pass instruments using four-handed dentistry.
Preparing patients for dental work.
Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
Assisting dental hygienists with procedures and other tasks when necessary.
Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
Duration of the Hygienists appointments are 1-1.5 depending on type of hygiene appointment
Helping in operating X-ray equipment(s) such as Digital X-Rays, Pano Machine, Cone beam and software used which is Eaglesoft.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant Preferred
Current licensure as an EFDA. Radiology certification. CPR Certification.
Training and or education as a Dental Assistant
Knowledge of Eaglesof
Must be able to operate X-ray equipment such as Digital X-Rays, Pano Machine, Cone beam.
Education -
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience -
At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant Preferred
Licensure/Registry - Current licensure as an EFDA. Radiology certification. CPR Certification.
