We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ATV Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and a strong knowledge of ATV systems and components. This role requires both technical expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality service to ensure the performance, safety, and reliability of our customers' vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair: Identify issues and repair engine, electrical, and mechanical systems on ATVs, including brakes, suspension, transmission, and fuel systems.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire changes, and filter replacements to ensure optimal ATV performance.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct safety and quality inspections before and after repairs, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
- Customer Service: Communicate clearly with customers about the nature of repairs needed, estimated costs, and timelines. Provide knowledgeable recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Complete service reports as needed.
- Maintain a Safe Workspace: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years as an ATV mechanic or similar role, with hands-on experience in ATV repair and maintenance. Dealership experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and repair equipment specific to ATVs.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of ATV engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and safety protocols.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy parts and equipment, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Certification: ASE certification or similar credentials are advantageous but not required.
