About My Client

My Client provides a versatile, modern helpdesk software platform to manage a wide range of customer support activities. The Company has spent ~20 years building a comprehensive solution to centralize support workflows and communication channels with extensive automation capabilities for ticket routing, communications, and data aggregation.

My client is used by external-facing customer support teams and internal employee-facing teams (IT, HR, finance, etc.) across all industries to optimize agent productivity and improve user experiences. Today, my client has more than 50 employees and 650 customers.

Originally based in London, UK, my client has recently been acquired by a growth private equity firm. My client’s headquarters is being established in Austin, TX.

Location

This position is based in Austin, TX, with a hybrid Office / WFH model.

VP, Marketing

We are looking to hire a VP of Marketing to drive the growth of the company. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the Executive Team. To succeed in this role you should have experience as a VP or Senior Director of Marketing in private equity or venture capital backed B2B software / SaaS companies with a global customer base.

You are a strategic, data-driven, results-oriented growth marketing leader who has helped scale B2B software / SaaS businesses with a Product Led Growth (PLG) motion. You will have a deep understanding of both Inbound Marketing and Account Based Marketing (ABM).

You have expertise in modern marketing systems and techniques, and have a track record of successfully generating pipeline in new markets and setting up new marketing channels.

You are as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to deliver tactically as you are in designing, influencing and owning strategy. You are excited to own and build new demand generation programs to help a business move upmarket. You love building marketing teams to support the growth of the business.

You use data to influence decisions and directions, and dive deep into customer personas and insights to truly understand the target audience and their buyer journey. You appreciate the need to continuously iterate to meet business needs and industry trends.

You know that “content is king” and can build alignment in your companies behind the messaging and positioning that you determine to be best at any point in time.

You are a student and a teacher of your craft and are always trying to stay at the cutting edge of marketing strategy, tactics and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute a comprehensive demand generation strategy to position my client as a leader in the help desk solutions market
  • Build and optimize holistic demand generation programs spanning email, social media, SEO/SEM, content marketing and more to drive increased pipeline expansion and revenue growth
  • Implement a modern MarTech stack to instrument the company website and all relevant inbound / outbound channels
  • Develop messaging and positioning for the company and product that supports the go-to-market strategy of the company
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to deeply understand our ICP and deliver impactful content to drive an increase in qualified leads, conversion rates and pipeline growth
  • Design and analyze attribution models to develop and manage budgets that drive scalable growth
  • Manage, build, mentor and retain a high performing distributed Marketing team

    VP, Marketing Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in a VP of Marketing, Senior Director of Marketing position
  • 15 years of demand generation/growth marketing experience, with 5 years leading high-performing teams
  • Subject matter expert on modern marketing systems and techniques, marketing analytics and performance benchmarking
  • Experience running digital marketing programs in the Americas / EMEA / APAC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans
  • A deep understanding of subscription software / SaaS sales cycles and funnel metrics to increase pipeline velocity from SMB to Enterprise level customers
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make informed decisions
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate marketing strategies to non-experts effectively
  • Background working at an early stage or growth stage startup
