About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our team at FIVE x 5 (Fx5). In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Billing Specialist to ensure the smooth running of our finance department. You will play an integral part in the month-end close process and subsequent financial reporting, providing key financial support to the business while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting (70%)
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations (Accounts Payable, Deposits, Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, WIP, Deferred Revenue, Bank Reconciliations).
Own the revenue reconciliation process to ensure revenue is recognized in the correct period.
Manage payroll processes, including posting payroll journals (bi-monthly payroll, expenses, benefits, commissions, vacation accrual, and intercompany payroll recharges).
Process, post, and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Perform variance analysis on monthly and quarterly results.
Compile and present financial reports for management and leadership.
Prepare monthly and quarterly deliverables for group reporting.
Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs, best practices (COSO), and Risk Control Matrix documentation.
Ensure sales tax compliance across relevant states and customers.
Assist with accounts receivable and treasury activities as needed.
Additional Finance Responsibilities (15%)
Assist in preparation for the annual audit.
Support the Finance Manager with quarterly and annual reporting.
Provide ad hoc analysis and contribute to various project work as required.
Engage with Internal & External Stakeholders (15%)
Maintain open communication and collaboration with colleagues and customers.
Build competence in all aspects of Fx5’s finance operations.
Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing within the team.
Complete assigned projects within scope and timelines.

Other reasonable duties as required by management
Skills & Qualifications:
Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
3+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
Experience with IFRS and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus.
Familiarity with working in a multi-company/business unit environment and the technology sector is a plus.
Passion for the regulated beverage or craft spirits industry is a plus.
Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer and technology skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Competitive base salary: $20.00/hr - $26.50/hr
