We are seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant with strong technical expertise and a proactive, transformational mindset. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting both day-to-day accounting operations and strategic finance initiatives. The right candidate will bring a track record of success in complex environments and a strong desire to modernize and optimize accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone transitioning from public accounting who is looking to drive impact and own meaningful initiatives in industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger oversight across multiple entities.

  • Drive accounting transformation efforts, identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable, automated solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Enhance accounting operations, including cash reconciliation, lease accounting, prepaids, accruals, and payroll accounting.

  • Manage intercompany transactions and ensure balance integrity across subsidiaries.

  • Support ERP transformation, particularly within Microsoft Dynamics 365, optimizing workflows and accounting functionality.

  • Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses to improve the speed and accuracy of financial reporting.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and IT to ensure alignment and consistency across digital transformation efforts.

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal control documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, bringing a forward-looking perspective to accounting best practices.

  • Serve as a key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a complex corporate environment or audit experience with a reputable public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred; Top 20 or large regional firms considered).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and multi-entity consolidations; experience with public companies and capital-intensive industries (e.g., high-tech, telecom, construction) is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting finance transformation initiatives, with an eye for automation and scalability.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a significant advantage.

  • A self-starter with top-tier communication skills, drive, and business acumen—an "A1" personality who takes ownership and delivers results.
