A rapidly growing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team on a potential permanent basis (contract to hire). The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing G/L functions, assisting with month-end close procedures, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Support the monthly and annual closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely reporting.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with various accounting related ad hoc project as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but work equivalency will suffice.
• At least two years of experience as an accountant.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
• Proficiency in accounting software

 

Compensation: $75,000-$95,000
