Director of FP&A Consultant

A Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is needed on a consulting basis for a widely known corporation based in New York. The Director of FP&A will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial guidance and oversight, contributing to long-term financial planning, decision-making, and business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, alongside the ability to influence high-level organizational decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of long-term strategic financial plans, working closely with executive teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and management of annual budgeting processes and financial forecasts for the company.
  • Provide insights into financial performance, identify trends, and analyze financial statements to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as a key business partner for senior leadership, offering recommendations on financial strategies, operational improvements, and potential cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial planning processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of reporting and forecasting methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance is required, and an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, and strategic planning, ideally in a consultant or senior management role.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Proven experience in corporate strategy development and execution.
  • Expertise in financial systems, ERP tools, while NetSuite software is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A highly analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

 




Compensation: $165,000-$208,000
