We are partnering with a private equity-backed company in the Northridge/Canoga Park area to find an experienced and hands-on Controller. This role will oversee all aspects of accounting operations and serve as the senior-most finance professional on-site. The Controller will lead month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance functions while helping the company scale and improve key processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, accruals, reserves, A/R, and A/P
• Oversee and improve the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606, with a focus on revenue recognition (percentage of completion)
• Manage cash flow forecasting and partner closely with leadership on liquidity planning
• Produce internal financial reports and analysis for executive and private equity stakeholders
• Coordinate with third-party advisors on technical implementation items
• Oversee accounts receivable across multiple partner entities to support consolidated cash forecasting
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Proven experience overseeing the full close process and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition, ideally in a project-based or construction environment
• Prior experience in a PE-backed company or construction industry strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or advanced degree a plus
• Must be local to the Northridge/Canoga Park area and able to be in the office full-time

Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000
