Cost Accounting Manager Role!

The company has big name clients like Walmart, Costco, Target, etc. and you would probably recognize the product on the shelf. It all started as a family owned business and has expanded from there to be a $300m+ global business.

The c-suite at the company and the PE firm are incredibly down to earth, smart, and driven - they are a top team to be a part of.

The role:

  • Oversee all Cost Accounting & Inventory Accounting for a growing company with a number of corporate offices as well as multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Cost Accounting: Work closely with operations and finance team to track and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and margin trends.
  • Financial Reporting & Close Process: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies, maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in financial records specific to inventory and cost of goods sold

  • Process Improvement & System Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, improve efficiency, and leverage financial systems for better reporting and analysis.
  • Private Equity Reporting Support: Provide financial data and analysis to support investor reporting and operational decision-making.

You are:

  • 5+ years of experience in Cost Accounting role or progressive accounting roles at manufacturing focused company
  • Must have experience at companies with tangible goods (Manufacturing, CPG, but ideally Food & Beverage)
  • Ideally CPA
  • NEED: cost accounting, inventory control management, have experience owning own inventory at a detailed level, how to unwind and fix process to avoid inventory issues
  • Ideally worked at PE Portfolio company but not a deal breaker
  • Preferred to have started career in public accounting and then transitioned in-house
  • Ideally similar sized company experience – $300m in annual revenue
  • Ideally NetSuite
  • Need someone who is very into automation, good at change management, can anticipate issues before they happen and have strong problem solving :)

Compensation:

$140k - $165k base salary + 15% cash bonus + benefits
