A leading, midsize company is looking for a Controller to join their company on a direct hire basis. The Controller will oversee the corporate accounting operation and manage five lower-level staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Provide detailed analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Present financial results and recommendations to senior management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and tax requirements, as well as company policies.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Ensure that the accounting team maintains accurate records, reconciles accounts, and handles financial reporting efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience minimum as an accountant with at least two years at the management or assistant controller level.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Proficiency in accounting software with advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation: $120,000-$130,000
