Treasury Manager - Upstream Oil & Gas Sector

Our client is an Oil and Gas firm based in Houston, Texas. The Firm is focused on long-term investment in the global oil and gas industry. They acquire operated and non-operated interests in producing, development and exploration assets, as well as technologies that improve production.

About the Role:

  • Cash Management & Operations: Oversee and manage the daily treasury functions across the Group, including cash management, payments processing, and receipts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor, forecast, and manage cash flow, liquidity, and funding needs, ensuring effective capital allocation and supporting business requirements.
  • M&A Treasury: Lead and manage all treasury-related aspects of M&A transactions, collaborating closely with the CFO to structure and arrange funding for deals.
  • Bank Account & Systems Management: Coordinate with the KYC team to facilitate the opening of new Group-related bank accounts and manage online access and systems for all bank accounts.
  • Collaboration with Finance Teams: Work closely with the Finance and FP&A teams to align treasury activities with financial forecasts, budgets, and overall business planning, utilizing the Kyriba Treasury Management System for data analysis and reporting.
  • Reporting & Risk Management: Prepare, analyze, and present detailed reports on treasury activities, cash positions, and risk exposures to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making and risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications (CFA, CTP) strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in treasury or finance roles, with a proven track record in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong proficiency in treasury management systems, with experience in Kyriba, along with expertise in financial modeling tools and techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of banking and treasury regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.



Compensation: 140,000-200,000
