Our NYC client has partnered with Hoxton Circle to help identify top talent for the following position.
The Accounts Payable Analyst will work closely with members of the team and outside vendors. You will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly invoice approval process which includes pulling data and formatting it into usable spreadsheets that can be sent and reviewed by departments. Conduct weekly meetings and with Department leaders and produce the weekly cash requirements to be presented to leadership.
- Support and backup weekly payment process and weekly payment runs for Digital Banners. This position would also support ACH and Wire information to ensure accurate payments
- Communicate with vendors and resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
- Coding and authorization to assure contracts and documentation are received before payment are made.
- Verifies invoices and confirms that the correct g/l account codes are used.
- Review AP aging for accuracy and perform reconciliations of to general ledger. Investigates any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing and quarterly reporting process including assisting with accruals.
- Helps process invoices across the company ensuring approvals have been received
- Prepare and maintain vendor files (W9s, W-8BENS, banking information) and validate year-end reporting (1099’s)
- Assist with additional areas of accounting and ad hoc requests such as managing the collection of outstanding receivables and communication with customers regarding payment status.
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree (Business Administration or Accounting Preferred).
- Self-starter, positive attitude, and ability to problem-solve with minimal supervision Strong communication skills and attention to detail; accuracy is a must.
- Ability to proactively investigate data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- MS word and excel.
Compensation: $65,000-72,000
