Our client, a rapidly expanding distribution company in the Bronx, is seeking a Hybrid Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled accounting professional with a strong foundation in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, as well as experience mentoring and training staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing training and career development support.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies, improving accounting processes and controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, operations, and external auditors.
• Assist with audit preparation and tax compliance.

Qualifications:

• CPA required.
• Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger functions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
• Strong systems skills; ERP experience a plus.
• Ability to work hybrid (on-site in the Bronx and remote as needed).

Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000
