Accounting Manager – Santa Monica (Hybrid)

$130K–$145K base + discretionary bonus | Hybrid: Mon–Wed in office

You’ll lead day-to-day accounting for income-producing assets and development projects, work cross-functionally with smart people, and drive process improvements in a high-performing environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead property + development accounting for a growing real estate portfolio

• Manage monthly close, reporting, and financial packages (internal + lenders)

• Interpret complex lease terms, CAM reconciliations, and tenant chargebacks

• Oversee fixed assets, construction-in-progress, and intercompany activity

• Support budgets, forecasts, 1031 exchanges, and tax/treasury deliverables

• Mentor junior team members and drive improvements in Yardi and Excel

What You’ll Bring:

• 5–8 years of real estate accounting experience (commercial/development)

• 2+ years of team leadership

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA preferred, not required)

• Advanced Excel + strong GAAP knowledge

• Proficiency in Yardi  

• Experience with CAM, intercompany transactions, and lender reporting

• Public accounting background (Big 4 or mid-tier) is a plus

• Strong communicator with a sharp eye for detail and process
