Senior Director Strategic Finance

Hoxton Circle - Oxford, MA, United States

Our client, a rapidly growing technology SaaS company, is seeking an experienced finance leader to join their team as the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). In this critical role, you will serve as the #2 to the CFO, providing strategic leadership across financial forecasting and business strategy. If you have a strong background in FP&A, financial and business strategy, and experience in a product-based business or SaaS environment, this is an exciting opportunity to make a major impact on the financial future of the company.

As the Senior Director of FP&A, you will lead the FP&A team, driving the development of complex financial models, and turning data into actionable insights that directly influence company-wide decision-making. You will work closely with senior leadership and the board, providing valuable insights and recommendations to align financial plans with the company's strategic goals. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting M&A integration efforts and driving overall business growth.

Must have experience in PE-Backed organizations specializing in technology services, product manufacturing and wholesale, education, or related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the FP&A team, overseeing the development of financial forecasts, budgeting, and analysis processes
  • Provide strategic financial insights and support to the CFO in areas such as budgeting, planning, and M&A activities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align financial strategies with long-term business objectives
  • Prepare and present financial reports and board materials to senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Maintain fiscal discipline while identifying growth opportunities that enhance profitability and business scalability

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in FP&A, financial planning, and business strategy, ideally from a SaaS or product-based business environment
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and motivating teams
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex financial data into clear insights for senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Experience with M&A integration is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Accounting experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Our client offers the opportunity to shape the financial direction of a dynamic, fast-growing company. If you're an analytical thinker with a passion for financial strategy, we encourage you to apply and take on a pivotal role in steering the company's financial success.
