Assistant Controller – Public Company Experience Required
$200K–$250K base + bonus | NYC | Full-Time | Onsite

This isn’t a maintenance role. It’s a build-it-better-from-the-inside kind of role.

We’re hiring an Assistant Controller to help overhaul and strengthen the accounting function at a fast-paced, publicly traded services infrastructure company. You'll partner directly with a high-caliber Controller (recently hired) to modernize processes, lead core accounting operations, and restore operational excellence across the board.

What You’ll Own:

• Full-cycle close process oversight (monthly, quarterly, annual)

• GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, payroll, and T&E operations

• Compliance with US GAAP and SOX

• Leading and mentoring accounting teams

• Collaborating cross-functionally to streamline systems (Oracle Fusion/FCCS a plus)

Must-Haves:

• CPA with 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience

• Big 4 public/private background

• Experience in a public company environment (US GAAP & SOX is a must)

• Demonstrated leadership across GL, AP/AR, fixed assets

• Excellent communication and executive presence

Bonus Points For:

• IFRS familiarity

• Oracle Fusion / Oracle FCCS experience

• Prior roles at the Accounting Manager, Senior Manager, Assistant Controller, or Director of Accounting level
