AP Supervisor

Our NYC client has partnered with us to help identify top talent for and AP Supervisor position n their NYC team.

The AP Supervisor will oversee staff and work closely with all team members and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee depository reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and vendor, supplier, and service provider account reviews.
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal stakeholders, and external vendors to address account balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor critical balances and identifying irregularities for corrective action.
  • Collaborate and resolve cash over/short anomalies in depositories.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Drive the weekly invoice approval process by pulling data, formatting it into spreadsheets, and facilitating review meetings with department heads.
  • Produce weekly cash requirements reports for presentation to leadership.
  • Support and back up the weekly payment process and payment runs, including submission to Treasury and verification of ACH and Wire details to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices, including general ledger coding and compliance.
  • Review and reconciliation of AP aging for accuracy, investigating any discrepancies or unusual items.
  • Assist with month-end closing, quarterly reporting, and accrual processes.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional understanding of accounting software, with a focus in SAP.
  • Strong communication; written and verbal aspects.
  • Analytically driven and strong problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Must have experience managing AP staff
  • Prior experience with delegating and managing daily tasks.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team mentality.

 




Compensation: $75000 - 85000
