The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving all commercial aspects of the business. This includes developing and executing strategies to support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. The role ensures that all commercial operations—from supply chain to pricing—are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, and identify target markets for key products.
- Manage the supply chain, including sourcing from local third parties and coordinating intercompany supply logistics.
- Establish and oversee third-party storage, toll-production, and distribution partnerships.
- Design and execute operational plans to support the company's strategic goals.
- Prepare and manage commercial budgets and financial planning.
- Provide expert guidance on pricing strategies for materials and products in commercial agreements.
- Monitor team performance to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Lead the development of long-term strategic plans to support business growth.
- Drive organizational change as needed to meet business or regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; MBA preferred;
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in chemical, petrochemical, or oil-related industries.
- Strong industry knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Skilled in negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure.
- Effective time management and planning skills.
- High level of financial literacy and data analysis capability.
Compensation: $150,000 - 200,000 base
