A well-established agriculture company is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to step into a pivotal role managing general ledger activities, driving month-end close processes, and leading various ad hoc projects under the Controller level. Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to meet deadlines and financial reporting requirements
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and G/L functions entered by staff.
• Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve operational efficiency
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
• Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including strong general ledger and month-end close
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

 

Compensation: $100,000-$120,000
