As experienced design and build remodelers, we have been creating elegant and functional living spaces since 2006. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling services, interior design services, as well as whole house remodels.
We seek an experienced and motivated Interior Designer to assist our senior design team in overseeing projects from concept through installation for high-end residential projects. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the successful execution of diverse and challenging remodeling projects. Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with outside architects, builders and contractors
- Gather and document pricing of materials selected
- Assist with field measure and documenting of existing floor plans and other project intake
- Create detailed floor plan, elevations, perspectives, electrical and architectural detail plans as required
- Prepare materials and organize presentation before client meetings
- Prepare proposals for product and labor
- Place and proofread custom cabinet orders as required
- Assist with purchase orders and change orders as required
- Manage client communication when designer not present
- Prepare installation manuals for jobsite
- Prepare takeoffs, schedules and drawings for tile, plumbing, hardware, etc.
- Meet with sales reps and vendors
- Assist with occasional office organization and clean up as needed
- Assist with occasional training of new hires and interns as needed
- Assist with project installation and photo shoots
- Capture photos and videos for social media and internal documentation
- Attend and participate in marketing events and team outings, including occasional out of state travel.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a business environment, preferably in the interior design, construction or architecture industries.
- Bachelors or Associates degree in NKBA accredited Kitchen and Bath design program, Interior Design and/or CKD/AKBD appellation strongly preferred.
- Ability to problem-solve, try new things, and seek solutions with limited supervisor direction.
- Proactive self-starter – show both initiative and detailed follow-through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Advanced level of competency with 2D Auto CAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Familiarity with Buildertrend or other project management software strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate professionally to potential clients and customers, a sense of detail, strong organizational abilities, excellent listening/communication skills and customer service excellence are required.
- Positive and fun, team player, utmost integrity, honesty and no-drama/ego attitude a necessity.
- Must have both a career-oriented mindset and a willingness to “chip in and get it done” in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. May require some overtime hours in busy times.
- Strong communicator who adds value to the collaborative process and excels at interacting with a variety of people/personalities on a daily basis.
- The right candidate has a passion for design which is reflected in their personal style.
- Comfortable being on camera for marketing events and social media content from time to time.
