Custom Comfort Mattress is a family-founded Southern California company that has been making handcrafted, premium, natural-material mattresses for more than 30 years. Every mattress is made locally in Orange County using time-honored techniques, high-quality materials, and meticulous craftsmanship. Across our eight showroom locations, we are known for delivering an authentic, deeply personalized sleep experience that prioritizes comfort, wellness, and long-term rest.

The Sales Lead is a high-touch, relationship-driven role that supports an elevated clientele through personalized sleep consultations, private fittings, and exceptional service. This position blends luxury service, design collaboration, and wellness-oriented product expertise. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a refined, service-first environment and enjoys helping people make meaningful wellness-driven decisions for their sleep solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver concierge-level service, managing relationships, and helping clients navigate our handcrafted product line with confidence and ease
  • Support an elevated clientele through personalized sleep consultations, private fittings, and exceptional customer service
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Custom Comfort Mattress construction, materials, and accessories, especially how to match sleep solutions to body type, sleep habits, and wellness considerations based on the customer’s interests.
  • Ability to actively listen, engage and connect with people
  • Consistently operate with a drive to exceed the customer’s expectations
  • Understand the importance of conversation and consistently closing the sale
  • Support showroom operations during non-appointment periods, including walk-in client service, merchandising upkeep, and maintaining showroom standards that reflect a luxury environment.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule aligned with client needs, including occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years in luxury retail, concierge services, hospitality, wellness consultation, design-adjacent sales, or other high-touch client-facing roles required
  • Prior experience/ exposure to wellness, sleep coaching, fitness, or health education roles preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in a Supervisory role highly preferred
  • Availability to work onsite 10am-6pm, 5 days per week including weekends with 2 weekdays off per week.
  • Proven ability to guide clients through decision-making with an educational, consultative approach
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to navigate sensitive or high-profile situations with confidence and calm in a customer facing setting
  • Professional presentation that aligns with a refined showroom environment
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to commute to Orange, Brea, Huntington Beach or Pasadena showrooms highly preferred

     Compensation:

    • Hourly rate typically starts from $25/hour + monthly sales incentive bonuses
    • After 90 days, you are required to meet minimum monthly revenue goals
    • Hourly base pay can increase quarterly as you exceed quarterly revenue goals up to $43/hr
    • Average Sales Lead hourly rate is $35/hr and total annual compensation (hourly + commission) across Southern California can range from $75,000 - $100,000+.
