Our client, The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill the College Access Program Summer Program Assistant position.


The University of San Francisco is currently seeking a highly motivated educational advocate to work as a Program Assistant during the College Access Summer Program starting in June. This role will be from June 4th - July 7th. This part-time position is located onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage and motivate CAPS Summer Program students with academic, career, and college advice
  • Assist with program planning, preparation, and implementation
  • Attend program trainings, orientations, field trips, and meetings
  • Provide one-on-one or group supervision of participants
  • Assist with classroom activities and record keeping

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with high school aged youth in academic/educational program preferred
  • Prior experience with USF TRIO or Upward Bound desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Desire to work with students from diverse academic, socioeeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Mission driven and passionate about programs designed to identify and provide services to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Requires passing fingerprinting and background check
  • Requires certification of completion of Mandated Reporting Training and USF trainings related to working with minors
