About the Role:

The Foreman/Supervisor is responsible for managing field crews, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, and maintaining high standards of work quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to read and interpret construction plans, and the capability to work hands-on alongside the crew. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a crew to complete construction projects on time!
  • Provide superior customer service, ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project proceed as planned.
  • Ensure compliance with site rules, regulations, and safety standards (OSHA).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction documents.
  • Follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain and submit complete and accurate files/logs/pictures/reports as determined by the supervisor and/or other management personnel daily.
  • Pickup/Deliver supplies, tools, equipment, cabinets, batteries, etc., via company vehicle (towing trailer if applicable).
  • Layout work and oversee correct installation and/or construction of sewer, gas, water, electrical, and storm systems.
  • Layout and oversee grading operations including but not limited to: basements, house pads, flatwork, & foundations
  • Develop and maintain a positive company image, both internally with fellow employees and with customers.
  • Adhere to all driving requirements as determined by State and Federal regulations.
  • Ensure company vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and presentable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

About You:

To be considered you must have:

  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans, maintain equipment and manage paperwork.
  • 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil (Grading & Underground).
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to commute to Mountain View, CA as well as client sites on a daily basis.

Additional Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of recent, related construction experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Physically capable of manual labor, including digging and backfilling.
  • Basic technology skills (email).
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical if required to drive a CDL vehicle.
  • Comfortable with driving larger vehicles (F350, F450, F550).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to tow trailers (preferred but not required).
  • Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, or stoop for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
  • Work in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Excellent hearing and hand-eye coordination.
