Our client, The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill the College Access Program Summer Enrichment Instructor position.


The University of San Francisco is currently seeking a passionate educator to teach and motivate students during the College Access Summer Program starting in June. This part-time position is located onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Looking for educator to teach one of the following courses: College Prep English, Introduction to Coding, 3D Printing, Robotics, Financial Literacy, Test Prep for SAT/ACT, ASL, or a Google Suite Course
  • Lead small classes of 12-15 students through the two week program
  • Daily in-class instruction, group work, and real-world application of concepts
  • Conduct pre and post assessments of courses
  • Develop classroom lessons and activities 
  • Ensure students are engaged and supported
  • Implement course syllabus that guides the course with daily concepts, quizzes, group work, and projects
  • Demonstrate knowledge of USF CAP mission, standards, policies and procedures
  • Attend staff orientation and planning sessions, field trip Fridays, program activites, and evaluation closing sessions

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred. Teaching Credential or working towards one preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience teaching in related subject preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of subject matter and skill acquisition of subject being taught
  • Mission driven and passionate about programs designed to identify and provide services to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Requires passing fingerprinting and background check
  • Requires certification of completion of Mandated Reporting Training and USF trainings related to working with minors
