Hunter Gibbons Staffing is seeking a Director of IT for one of our clients to lead their development and IT organization.They will be moving from a shared services model to an in house model.They are looking for someone who can and is willing to still do hands on development for around 20% - 30% of the time which will decrease over time.This role will be responsible for managing 4 direct reports (3 Developers and 1 QA) but they also have to be well rounded enough to help with infrastructure, networking, etc. because they will be separating all aspects. They do not need to be an expert in all aspects but need to be knowledgeable enough to partner with vendors when appropriate, consolidate if needed, provide technical direction/recommendations, etc.Will be reporting directly to the CEO and needs to be comfortable interacting with executives, provide updates and status reports, strategy, roadmaps, etc.

 Someone who has experience in small organization who has had to wear many hats due to growth would be ideal.

 Roles and Responsibilities from a hands on technical standpoint:

  • Provides Full cycle application design and development
  • Perform requirements analysis, detail design, troubleshooting, source code construction, system testing, integration testing and implementation for reports.
  • Create, update and maintain system based on incoming change requests and break-fixes.
  • Create and maintain stored procedures
  • Interact with team members when developing interfaces, and researching and troubleshooting technical issues



Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:


  • Minimum 5 Years in a management role and 10-15 years overall experience.
  • Good knowledge Entity Framework – Code First & Database First, and LINQ
  • Translate business requirements in to technical requirements
  • knowledge ASP .Net, MVC, C#, Javascript and JQuery experience
  • HTML, and CSS experience
  • Knowledge in SQL Server database management, Stored Procedures and SQL coding
  • Visual Studio 2010/13 experience
  • Visual Studio Team Foundation
  • DevExpress experience a plus
  • DevExtreme MVC experience a plus
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deliver high quality deliverables by deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication skills
