Duties and Responsibilities

Systems Administrator - Executing on IT-related activities of the organization with a focus on all applications that are related to MS Office 365, this position ensures continuity of computer services for users throughout the organization through support, execution, and task delivery.

Core Functions

  • Perform all aspects of the O365 ongoing administration including availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, backup, and security
  • Maintain Exchange servers, systems and processes, including monitoring of system health to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Plan and administer scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • SME for all Office 365 applications
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize O365 functionality and user experience
  • Set up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in and use the issued equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns or other computer related issues including A/V equipment
  • Investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults
  • Maintain records of software licenses and usage within the organization
  • Maintain and regularly update the IT inventories and supplies, issuance of new IT equipment to new staff, and schedule upgrades

Additional Duties

  • Assist IT management with system interruptions or outages as needed
  • Provide new hires with orientation on newly issued equipment and devices
  • Stay current with the latest IT and software trends
  • Assist staff using corporate meeting rooms with IT needs
  • Assist with IT-related needs during office moves

Skills and Qualifications:

BS Degree, In-depth knowledge of MS Office 365 (5+ years exp), Exchange servers, Active Directory, SMTP Routing, DNS and Mail Routing. Strong communications and organizational skills, Strong customer service skills., Ability to work well with all staff who have varied levels of IT competency, Technical Management, Technical Understanding, Analyzing Information, Informing Others, Problem Solving, Coordination, Planning, Quality Management and Scripting (Powershell, VB, Pearl, etc)
