Job Title: Authorization Official (AO) Repository Support Specialist
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA - 100% onsite
Clearance: Secret
Salary: $85K

Position Overview:
The AO Repository Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Authorization Official (AO) appointment process for the Army CIO. This role requires a understanding of DoD and Army policies, public laws, regulations, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The specialist will assess the impact of policy changes and ensure that the AO repository is compliant with Army cybersecurity regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support for the AO appointment process, ensuring alignment with Army CIO guidelines.
Develop, update, and maintain Army AO policies and guidance, recommending technological improvements as needed.
Analyze the effects of policy changes from DOD, CNSS, and NIST RMF on Army cybersecurity and propose remediation actions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and ensure the compliance of the AO Repository with Army cybersecurity standards.
Monitor the repository’s progress, identify potential risks or issues, and recommend corrective measures.
Support AO training programs to ensure Army personnel are well-versed in the relevant policies and procedures.
Maintain comprehensive documentation to support the AO decision-making process and the appointment of system officials.
Facilitate the appointment process for system officials/owners, ensuring compliance with procedures and training requirements.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of DoD and Army policies, public laws, RMF, and cybersecurity tools and methods.
Experience in supporting the AO appointment process for government entities.
Familiarity with Federal, DoD, and Army strategic planning and cybersecurity guidance documents.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
