Job Title: Data Governance Sales Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Data Governance Sales Director to lead our North America sales team. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with experience in data management, governance, and enterprise SaaS, who thrives on cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence, and delivering measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, a pragmatic approach, and a proven ability to scale high-performing teams. You will serve as a key executive sponsor on strategic deals and collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Pre-Sales to drive growth, alignment, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of Data Governance and Privacy Sales Specialists across multiple industries and territories.
- Serve as executive sponsor on high-value and strategic customer opportunities, ensuring alignment, clarity, and results throughout the deal cycle.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive market share growth in the Data Governance & Privacy SaaS space.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Pre-Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and success in go-to-market efforts.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer feedback to inform strategy and enhance team enablement.
- Manage accurate sales forecasting, pipeline development, and performance metrics.
- Identify systemic tailwinds and headwinds; develop “get-well” plans to address challenges proactively.
- Own team operations, including process optimization, enablement, structure, and accountability frameworks.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer briefings, and internal/external speaking engagements as a thought leader in data governance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience in data management, governance, or enterprise technology.
- 10+ years in sales leadership roles within the SaaS or data solutions industry.
- Proven experience leading high-performing sales teams and driving significant revenue growth.
- Deep understanding of data governance, MDM, data quality, and privacy compliance frameworks.
- Strong familiarity with modern data ecosystems and tools such as Informatica, Alation, Collibra or similar.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of operational excellence—bringing structure, process, and scale to fast-moving organizations.
- Experience with GTM strategy, sales enablement, cross-functional alignment, and product positioning.
