Job Title: Mac Desktop and OS Engineer Location: On-site in GSA Headquarters & NCR ROB WASHINGTON, Washington, DC Duration: Contract to Hire Qualifications: • Public Trust Clearance by start date • ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire Job Summary: We are seeking a Mac OS Engineer with a focus on macOS system provisioning, hardware testing, software packaging, scripting, vulnerability patching, documentation, QA testing, and mac support and training. This engineering position will also manage and maintain third-party macOS applications and installers. A key focus of this role is providing daily onsite support at GSA Headquarters. Job Responsibilities: Provides onsite support at the Central Office to users. Evaluates, tests, deploys, and updates macOS. Develops, tests, and implements CIS compliance for macOS. Utilizes Bash/zshell (Zsh) scripting for macOS software deployments and attributes. Develops and supports macOS provisioning and zero-touch deployments. Remediates vulnerabilities with Mac devices. Creates packages for applications for deployment on GSA macOS workstations. Creates and updates certificates required for Apple Push Notification Service. Writes or reviews software and system documentation. Develops and executes QA test procedures. Manages and maintains third-party macOS applications and installers. Provides Tier 3 support for Mac devices. Trains Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams for Mac devices. Escalates issues to vendors and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government. Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of distinct product hardware or technical devices. Develops software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or systems engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas. Engages in activities ranging from operating systems architecture integration and software design to selecting computer systems, languages, and/or equipment. Job Required Qualifications: Public Trust Clearance by start date 10 - 15 years of experience and bachelor's degree ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire. Experienced with macOS support and engineering. Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others. Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients. Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours. Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks. Job Desired Qualifications: Jamf Pro Certification 100 and 200 Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) or equivalent Experienced with Bash/zshell (Zsh) scripting Proficiency with Jamf Pro Administration Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Slack, and ServiceNow.
