Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality Assessment and Monitoring:
- Conduct regular audits of datasets to identify inconsistencies, errors, and gaps.
- Develop and track key data quality metrics, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
Issue Resolution and Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with data owners and IT teams to resolve discrepancies and improve data processes.
Data Validation and Testing:
- Validate data accuracy during data migrations, integrations, and updates.
- Perform testing and verification of data flows, ETL processes, and data models.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of data quality processes, findings, and resolutions.
- Develop and deliver reports to stakeholders on data quality status and improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement:
- Propose and implement enhancements to data collection, storage, and management processes.
- Develop and enforce data quality standards and guidelines.
Collaboration and Training:
- Partner with business units and data governance teams to align data quality initiatives with organizational goals.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on data quality best practices and tools.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a data quality or data analysis role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica DQ, or similar).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data management platforms.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data governance, and database management.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Soft Skills:
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey data insights and solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Team-oriented and proactive in driving data quality initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in data quality, data analysis, or data management (e.g., CDQ, CDMP).
- Experience in industries with strict data compliance requirements (e.g., finance, healthcare).
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA.
