Utilities Foreman

Position Summary:
A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking a Utilities Foreman to oversee field crews on utility construction projects across Tulsa and the surrounding region. This position requires a hands-on leader who can guide teams, manage schedules and resources, and uphold safety and quality standards in dynamic work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of field crews in accordance with project plans and timelines.
- Manage project budgets and jobsite materials; ensure efficient use of resources and cost control.
- Lead daily safety meetings and enforce all site safety requirements, including PPE compliance.
- Assign crew tasks and monitor progress, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Track and report crew hours accurately for payroll and compliance purposes.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation, including:
- Daily project reports
- Employee appraisals and corrective actions
- Incident investigations
- Expense and receipt tracking
- Absence logs - Conduct performance evaluations and support team development.
- Perform fieldwork and assist with construction and repairs as needed.
- Ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and time constraints.
- Travel overnight and work weekends as needed based on project demands.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education:
- Minimum of 5 years in construction with advanced expertise in utility installation and operations.
- Experience operating utility-related equipment and training others on safe use.
- Ability to read construction plans, calculate material quantities, and determine production yields.
Licenses & Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Fluent in English (due to contractual and safety communication requirements).

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving under pressure.
- Clear and effective verbal communication.
- Proactive approach to safety, accountability, and job site culture.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in tight or awkward positions.
- Will be exposed to various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Work near moving mechanical parts; regular exposure to dust, asphalt, and construction materials.
- Must be capable of physically performing manual labor and equipment repairs when needed.
