Job Description
Facebook is looking for a Program Manager to join our Visual Systems (VS) team. VS is responsible for creative content and visual language within the FB App (color, icons, avatars, emoji, type, motion, editorial, illustration, photography, etc.), and is focused on expanding the visual systems that define the product, developing principles for quality, and building sustainable programs.

The Program Manager is a multifaceted and curious individual with a mind for problem-solving and isn’t afraid to ask questions. This person will bring together teams of stakeholders to drive successful outcomes, can build impactful relationships and serve as a dependable point of contact across the App to triage questions that come to VS, and help set our partner teams up for success in working with us.

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead, track, and communicate across cross-functional projects that span multiple teams. The ideal candidate is someone who has managed and built strong cross-functional relationships and is highly organized and a strong communicator. This is an internal facing role that will take ownership of team operations, while ensuring all the stakeholders involved are aligned throughout the process.

Responsibilities:
Contracts:
  • Partner with Executive Producers, Team Leads and Finance to generate and maintain contracts for all contractors and vendors
  • Manage and track our Hiring Efforts from start to finish; setting up interviews, keeping hiring managers informed, tracking start and end dates as it relates to current contracts, ensuring hiring is aligned with priorities and budgets, POC for our recruiters throughout the process
  • Owns onboarding and extension process and implementation across all of VS

Budgets:

  • Responsible for managing and tracking our team budgets, including flagging additional budget needs and approvals to Executive Producers and Directors.
  • Responsible for driving monthly forecasting, reconciliation and accrual across all of VS in partnership with Executive Producer, Producers, and Finance

Operations:

  • Create, implement and maintain playbooks to streamline workstreams and comms across VS
  • Help develop and utilize program management tools. Assign, track, and communicate progress around tasks.
  • Drive team-wide processes (utilization of groups, chats, meetings, etc.), establishment of team SOPs
  • Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger teams
  • Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve product team efficiency and impact
  • Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution
  • Establish and execute activities that build team culture and community, team values and trust, and help individuals tie their work back to Facebook's mission

Requirements:

  • A ‘big picture’ approach in helping establish, support, and engage teams
  • Comfortable with managing change for across large teams
  • Experience with finance, time management, task prioritization, and identifying challenges and proactively suggesting solutions
  • Experience working directly with product and creative teams
  • Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • Proven success building relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Expertise in team communication and problem solving
  • Proficient with G Suite, office, other standard office suites

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
