Showroom Sales Designer (Kitchen/Cabinetry)

On behalf of our client, an European Designer and Manufacturer of contemporary kitchens and interior systems, Infotech is looking for a

 

SALES DESIGNER

Reporting to the CEO a successful candidate based in NYC will be responsible for showroom sales as well as providing excellent customer service and assistance to both retail and trade clients.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new business through follow-up to walk-ins, inquiries from website, magazine editorial and advertising
  • Cultivate new relationships with Architect and Designer communities networking among design trade professionals through industry related organizations and events
  • Inspire clients on the basis of the Company’s design principles during their initial visit to the showroom by drawing on in-depth product knowledge and design in general
  • Develop preliminary floorplans and see through final plans relying on architectural/design education and experience
  • Strike a delicate balance between client preferences, building code requirements and Company’s minimalist aesthetic
  • Prepare and process detailed orders using the Company product manual and costing tools. Confirm and closely monitor orders with the factory. Maintain continuous communication with clients to assure proper preparation of job site and project timeline
  • Field-verify dimensions and job site conditions for preparing detailed and accurate mechanical drawings
  • Manager project from beginning through completion
  • Operate as a team, collaborate with project coordinator on each project to ensure client success

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with showroom sales in the kitchen or cabinetry industry
  • Minimum of a BA in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of European Kitchen systems, a plus
  • Hand sketching skills, a plus
  • Charismatic and enthusiastic personality with natural customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals
  • Extroverted, proactive, strategic, flexible
