Job Title: CAD Designer
Duration: 6 Months (W2 Possible Conversion)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Color CAD Specialists is the executor to putting the color design the merch have chosen into the cad.
Responsible for coloring up the Womens Apparel assortment by category/end use by flow for the merchandising team to leverage in their assorting, buying planning and post season.
The color cad specialists will work in the catalog merchandising function while collaborating with both Product Merchandising and Design through the pipeline.
They will maintain and update the Class Boards through the evolution of the assorting process through collaboration with Product Merchandising.
They will share out the assortment class boards to cross functional partners through out the process.
This role is critical to the success of how merchandising reviews and assorts their product line from alignment through Investment review in addition to how marketing then translates the product into messages for the season.
This role will also be asked to do various CAD exercises including outfitting, seasonal big ideas and web New Arrival sorts.
Locates colored cads provided by the design team each season & colors additional colorways based on information pulled from Filemaker database
Compiles classboards of cads by end-use & category and updates classboards throughout the season
Create PDFs for print & web
Follows seasonal deliverable timelines to ensure tasks are being complete on time
Work as liaison between Merch Marketing Team, Merchandising Team, Design Team, and Marketing Team
Initiative Must be proficient in:
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign)
Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint)
Strong organizational skills required – will be working with multiple designers and multiple shared files
Strong attention to detail required – will be pulling information from various places such as the server & PLM
Analytical skills required – must be able to extract information from emails and reports and apply learnings & changes to the line
