Facebook Reality Labs is seeking a Program Manager that will be focused on coordinating the building and hosting of external-facing documentation in the VR / XR content production space. The Immersive Media team works both internal and external production studios who are paving the way for the future of media. The role will include liaising with agency/agencies to coordinate the building of a content hub, organizing and publishing existing documentation, coordinating with and commissioning content from multiple documentation sources, and managing technical writers, video editor(s), and copy editor(s).

Documentation Manager Responsibilities
Manage a small documentation production team
Work closely with the FRL Media team on documentation / creator initiatives
Manage expectations of all stakeholders: define clear schedules with key deliverables and milestone dates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall documentation deliverables
Develop and implement key performance indicators to track progress to key metrics and goals
Hire and develop new documentation team members

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years experience in technical documentation, and/or outreach for a creator audience (individuals to high-end studios)
3+ years of experience managing a team
3+ years of experience independently driving technical documentation projects
Experience organizing content in a logical flow
Demonstrated experience in comprehensive technical documentation, proofreading, and editing
Experience partnering with leadership to establish priorities, strategy, and communicate regular updates on documentation initiatives
2+ years experience in or adjacent to immersive media production

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Film, Technical Communication or a related discipline
Experience in content production
