Job Title: Technical Program Manager, Performance Engineering

Duration: 6+ months W2 contract (possible conversion)

Facebook's efficiency Technical Program Management team is seeking a passionate project manager who will help the teams we work with be more effective and will share the same passion to drive the efficiency of Facebook Infrastructure. This is a contractor position based in our headquarter office in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage and follow up on performance regressions on a daily basis.

  • Capture metrics and use data to measure impact and drive internal process improvements.

  • Follow-up with engineering teams to identify and prioritize solutions, resolve roadblocks and communicate risks.

  • Configure internal tooling to automate repetitive manual processes.

  • Ongoing communication of plans, project status, milestones, issues, and risks in a timely fashion to stakeholders.

Skills/Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent program management skills.

  • Experience with infrastructure technologies, software development, and/or application performance management

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented & organized approach, excellent communication, and developed interpersonal skills.

  • Experience building relationships and collaborating across a flat and diverse org, including cross-functional technical partner teams.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and simultaneous projects in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in performance engineering is desirable but not required.

  • Experience in a tech field and understanding of web application architectures.

  • Experience working in a web/tech company is highly desirable.

Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
