Job Description:

We are looking for someone to support the 2022 application cycle for the Facebook Research Fellowship Program. This program supports global PhD students with funding and resources for a two year period during their graduate education. The Facebook Research Operations & Academic Relations (ROAR) team manages the design, recruitment, application evaluation, and implementation of the Fellowship program. This person would support the open submission period, providing assistance for the team during and after the call for applications.

Skills needed include detailed administrative support, experience in high-volume external-facing communications and experience maintaining and organizing data collection.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Facebook Fellowship Program during the 2022 application cycle, which includes, but is not limited to pre-screening applications to ensure submissions are complete, legible, and meet minimum requirements; ensure all data captured is accurate and consistent, and forms have been filled out properly
  • Support the candidate selection process by screening applications, resumes, and research statements
  • Liaise with candidates and/or program managers pertaining to any issues with applications
  • Escalate important issues that arise with the application process in the applicant tracking system
  • Utilize applicant tracking system to maintain candidate data and reporting

  • Fiercely organized with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to follow-through on execution and procure necessary resources to ensure project completion
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Experience working with data collection and management
