Job Title: Trade Show and Events Coordinator( Engineering)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 12 months W2 possible conversion

Cloud based company is looking for an experienced Trade Show and Events Manager to join our Engineering Marketing team. The Trade Show and Events Manager will bring the company’s Engineering brand to top conferences both domestically and internationally. As part of the Technology, People, Innovation, & Learning organization, the Trade Show and Events Manager is responsible for bringing the challenges and successes we face internally to the engineering community in a compelling and interactive way. You will regularly partner with Recruiting teams, Engineering leaders, Security, and external vendors.

As part of the Technology, People, Innovation, & Learning you need to be passionate about engineering and events with an eye for detail. You're able to effectively communicate the event needs and impact at the executive, management, and individual contributor levels of the organization. This role is a key member of this small multi-functional group, you'll have direct and deep impact on the direction of the program through setting strategy, creative design, and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage all pre-planning and on-site program operations from content and program development, budget, design, AV production, vendor management, logistics, travel, invitations and more. Includes traveling on-site for the event

  • Own all logistics for external events from start to finish, including pre-event contract negotiation, logistics collaboration across multiple teams, project management, onsite event support, and registration management

  • Analyze event operations including tracking budget, establishing success metrics and prepare and implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies within the events

  • Manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and work with cross-functional internal teams to develop and successfully execute programs

  • Exercise creativity in event design and problem solving.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment and work well under pressure

  • Meticulous organizational abilities and concise and effective verbal and written communication are required

  • Experience with managing trade shows and corporate events

  • Experience working in developer-centric marketing preferred

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a plus

  • Requires ~15% travel
