Position Responsibilities

The Internal Audit position will be responsible for full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations. The position will also support management’s assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting through an on-going testing program. Responsibilities of the position will include:

• With Audit Committee oversight, develop internal audit scope and annual plans with management;
• Document company processes, procedures, and identify internal controls, including those key to the operational effectiveness of the internal control environment;
• Engage in or manage components of ad hoc projects, including M&A due diligence projects, information systems upgrades or improvement projects, and internal investigations;
• Assist the CFO with SEC reporting, research of relevant US GAAP, and implementation of new or complex accounting principles;
• Assist Director of Legal and Compliance with gathering and reporting information on environmental, social, governance (“ESG”) and sustainability matters and staying current on the developing trends, guidance, and requirements related to ESG;
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and/or the Board of Directors, or its committees.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
• CIA, CPA or successful completion of all four parts of the CPA exam;
• 2-years or more audit experience in public accounting, preferably Big 4 or 2nd Tier firms, or equivalent industry experience;
• Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements for publicly traded companies;
• Experience with testing compliance with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act;
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including the use of lookup and reference formulas and pivot tables;
• Sound independent judgement;
• Works independently with high attention to detail.
