Account Executive – SLED (State, Local, and Education) Sector
We’re seeking a results-driven Account Executive to accelerate adoption of our risk management software across the SLED (State, Local, and Education) market. In this high-impact role, you will engage directly with government agencies, qualify opportunities, build strong relationships, and close deals that contribute directly to company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and engage government agency prospects through phone, email, and networking.
Drive the full sales cycle — from lead qualification to closing contracts.
Use sales enablement tools to maintain accurate account and pipeline records.
Deliver timely sales forecasts and pipeline updates.
Achieve daily, monthly, and annual sales performance goals.
Consistently follow up on leads to ensure quick turnaround and pipeline growth.
Generate and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Conduct product demos and consultative discussions tailored to public sector needs.
Stay current on industry trends, compliance regulations, and procurement processes.
Track and report all sales activities in Salesforce CRM.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience selling into SLED agencies, with knowledge of procurement cycles and government decision-making.
3+ years of SaaS or software sales experience, ideally in compliance, risk, or workforce solutions.
Proven record of exceeding quota and closing complex deals with public sector clients.
Strong communication and presentation skills with a consultative approach.
Organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, ZoomInfo).
