Job Description:
- Process and administer payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in compensation.
- Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documentation to ensure correct payment of hours worked.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate benefits enrollment and deductions, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Generate and distribute paychecks or electronic fund transfers (EFT) to employees on a timely basis.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, deductions, and tax withholding.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other departments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices to ensure the organization's payroll processes are up-to-date and compliant.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in ADP
- Proficiency in payroll software and related tools for processing and reporting.
- Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and payroll compliance.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, managers, and external agencies.
- Problem-solving skills to address and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
